Theater, Rent, No Thanks, Undecided? Rent. The Last Stand just looks like a fun rental for a rainy Saturday night. Featuring Ah-nuld’s big return to his own starring vehicle in forever, the film features the former governor of California as a sheriff who has to take down a drug cartel. It seems very similar to Walking Tall, a movie featuring another big action star in the Rock and a Last Stand actor, Johnny Knoxville. I only say this because it’s one big hulking dude and a wildcard of a man taking down the baddies. Anyway, Arnold will probably spout one liners and Knoxville will be a goofball and that could be cheesy fun with action aplenty so I think I’ll just pick this up on a borrowing whim come video release time. –LJF
Theater, Rent, No Thanks, Undecided? Rent. While to many this would be a “no thanks” Last Stand looks like a good, goofy shoot ’em up. Arnold has never really let us down in the past (okay maybe he has), and while this film is going to have a number of groans and plot holes the size of Cincinnati, this will still be a fun film to watch. And lest we forget this film has Luis Guzman in it and he’s always good for some solid laughs. –BB
