Theater, Rent, No Thanks, Undecided? Rent (but possibly theater). If you know anything about me, you know that I love Paul Rudd. I would see this guy in anything no matter what the reviews say. Now add Tina Fey into a Paul Rudd movie and I suddenly got more interested than I was already (which was a lot to begin with). The trailer for Admission got me to chuckle a few times and I wasn’t even turned off by the subtle dramatic aspect (main plot point of the movie is that Fey’s character possibly meets up with her son that she gave away for adoption years ago ). With these two main actors involved, one way or another, I will gladly check Admission out. –LJF

Theater, Rent, No Thanks, Undecided? Rent. Much like my TT colleague, I am a fan of both Rudd and Fey — however their most recent fare seem to run the same course. They start out really strong, laughs a plenty, then lose steam, wander into a bit of unnecessary drama and then end on a solid, not great note. Don’t believe me? Check out Baby Mama and I Love You, Man — they’re perfect examples. I feel Admission is going to be the same way. The concept seems solid and when Fey and Rudd are onscreen together, it’s going to comedic gold. However, it’s when they’re not onscreen together or when dealing with the drama of whether Rudd’s prize student is actually Fey’s long-lost son or not, is where the film is going to drag. This, like the aforementioned Baby Mama and I Love You, Man, will be a solid rental. –BB
