Theater, Rent, No Thanks, Undecided? Rent. This is the End seems to have a novel concept on the whole “end of the world” movie genre; take this generation’s best known comedic actors (Seth Rogen, Craig Robinson, Jay Baruchel, Jonah Hill, plus many more) and have them play … well, themselves. While the apocalypse is occurring. The cast list is actually pretty large (who ISN’T in this movie?), and I think it will be just a fun little movie to see the actors poke fun at each other and themselves as themselves. Not sure if I can make theater for this one as my summer movie bill is filling up pretty quickly, but it’s going to be a top choice rental for sure. –LJF

Theater, Rent, No Thanks, Undecided? Undecided … in a good way. Like LJF, I’m torn on this one. I am going to watch this film in some shape or form, just don’t know whether it’ll be theater or DVD just yet.

On one hand, everyone in this movie has been utterly hilarious onscreen before and have brought tears to my eyes from laughter. The chemistry they have together has been evidenced before and to great results. I could easily see this as an amazingly funny movie. On the other hand, this has the makings of an absolute train wreck that’s one big inside joke between the stars. It could easily be one of those, ‘Meh, it was okay’ kinda deals and frankly, that’s not worth the price of admission. I’m going to debate this one and make my decision to catch this film in the theater after the reviews come in. –BB
