The Scene of the Crime (Episode Summary)
Dexter plans an Argentina getaway with Hannah. Deb contemplates going back to the force. Dexter discovers the brain surgeon is one of Vogel’s sons and the ex lover of his neighbor Cassie.

The Lead Investigator (Favorite Performance)
I hate to give Daniel/Oliver Saxon/Cassie’s former lover Favorite Performance cred, but this guy fooled the hell out of me. Before this episode, he looked so innocent and now we know he’s the main murderer all season. Saying that I didn’t see that one coming is a big understatement!

They Could’ve Spared Us These Gory Details (Worst Part of the Episode)
Dexter drugging Vogel so he could make a move on Daniel was the worst idea ever. I know Dexter thought that Daniel had the intelligence of some of his other kills but this guy is extremely smart. It scares me a little bit to know that Dexter is on this guys radar solely because of Harrison. He’s the character on this show I worry about the most because he’s the most innocent and has already been through enough.

The Little Thing You Loved
I love the scene where Deb and Hannah had dinner together. It’s nice to finally see them civilized. The fact that Deb even let her stay at her place was a huge step as well. I never thought any of this would be possible.

I also love seeing Dexter and Hannah together and the idea of them going to Argentina. I wouldn’t actually mind if the season ended that way. I feel like a lot of people are expected Dexter to die or get caught, but having a happy ending wouldn’t seem so bad. Plus, it would leave room for interpretation for a sequel series!

The Autopsy (Thoughts on the Episode)
Holy crap. I was for sure convinced we were going to discover that the brain surgeon was Dr. Vogel this week, but low and behold, it’s her son Daniel a.k.a. Oliver Saxon a.k.a. Cassie’s former lover.

Wow.

I really didn’t think he’d have any involvement in any of this at all, especially Cassie’s murder. But I guess the writers couldn’t make it the obvious choice right?

It’s going to be interesting to see how all of this plays out in the end. I’m hoping for Daniel on Dexter’s table and a Dexter/Hannah Argentinian getaway. .
