Pre-Trailer Thoughts:

A Robocop remake? Ughhhh no. –LJF

I remember when Darren Aronofsky was attached to this and I got really excited. Then he left and I was much less excited. I do love the casting choices thought, that could make this movie work. Although the PG-13 rating does scare me.–BB

Rate the Trailer (1-5): 1.5 out of 5. Aside from the nod to the original Robocop black and silver suit and Michael Keaton, nothing about this trailer really grabbed me. I’d much rather rent the original movie or watch it online. –LJF

2.5 out of 5. The trailer does an excellent job hiding the actual plot of the film. It’s focused more on the big action sequences and highlighting the absurd amount of name actors attached to the film. With that being said, we have no idea who most of these actors are portraying. –BB

Theater, Rent, No Thanks, Undecided: No thanks. There is absolutely no reason for this movie to exist, as the late ’80s version is good enough in all its kick butt glory. I will not being giving this movie my money. Despite my resistance, however, I’m sure people will still give it the time of day, which just proves we can’t have nice things. In any case, nope, this ain’t for me. –LJF

Theater, Rent, No Thanks, Undecided: Rent. File this under the rental category. This film has all the trappings of a, ‘Hey let’s rent a good bad movie tonight.’ Kinda like renting The Lone Ranger or RIPD, all pretty “meh” films that are enjoyable to some degree. I’m a big Kinnaman supporter so I hope the the film gives him something to work with. However, the PG-13 rating takes a lot of the teeth out of this movie and the super gloss finish makes it look like an episode of Almost Human. Not too many high hopes for this one, but it’s still worth checking out for curiosity sake. –BB
