Pre-Trailer Thoughts: A sequel to 300? Is that really necessary? I didn’t think so, but Hollywood thought otherwise. –LJF | I loved, loved, loved 300, but the movie ended neatly and did not warrant a sequel. –BB

Rate the trailer (1-5): Two out of five. Looks slick, can’t deny that. Even though Zack Snyder is only producing, it looks like his directorial efforts from this film’s predecessor have been carried over quite well. That being said, the movie seems to be exactly the same. Guys without shirts, lots of slow motion, and just a ton of war. I liked the original a lot, but that was enough. –LJF

Three and 1/2 out of five. Whoever did the remix of Black Sabbath’s “War Pigs” over the action should do every trailer ever. That was chilling and made the trailer feel that much more intense and epic. The sweeping bravado of the trailer makes up for the a “meh” looking plot. –BB

Theater, Rent, No Thanks, Undecided? Undecided Even though I sound very opposing of this sequel, lead actresses Lena Headey and Eva Green should add a lot to the proceedings, and that’s enough to draw me in. If anything, this will be a rental. We’ll see what the reviews look like come release. –LJF

Theater, Rent, No Thanks, Undecided? Rent This is not a movie I’ll be going to the theater to see, but I’d still like to see it. I am sucker for any type of sword and sandal movie, so I have an inherent curiosity about the film. Also, Eva Green…holy smokes. Yet, I have a feeling that the plot is going to be really jumbled and clunky and that it’ll remind me more of an episode of STARZ’s Spartacus than a continuation of the 300 saga. In the end this’ll be a solid rental, cold be a sleeper of a good movie.–BB
