Pre-Trailer Thoughts: I know nothing about this movie except I am a sucker for stop-motion animation. –LJF

Rate the Trailer (1-5): Four out of five. There is really not much given away about the movie’s plot, but it does look like it’s brilliantly and weirdly creative. That, and the animation looks gorgeous. –LJF

Rate the Trailer (1-5): Three out of five. This is a beautifully crafted, fanciful and whimsical trailer. I love the song used here and everything about this clip makes me warmer up to the idea that despite my age, maybe I do want to see this movie. –BB

Theater, Rent, No Thanks, Undecided: Undecided. I know I want to see this movie, I just don’t know if I’ll make it a theater viewing, not yet. While the look of this film is intriguing, it could be a miss. Despite having the voices of Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, (that pairing didn’t exactly bring me to watch The Adventures of TinTin), my viewing of The Boxtrolls may wait until rental depending on what word of mouth says about it. We will see. –LJF

Theater, Rent, No Thanks, Undecided: Rent. I think this will be a solid rental that I can bring when I’m babysitting my nieces. While I think the trailer is absolutely charming and the vocal cast is amazing, I’m probably not going to to drop theater prices to check this one out. –BB
