Whereas Birdman looked like a cheap imitation of a Darren Aronofsky film, this one looks like the real deal. Wow, does this look good. Bennett Miller is certainly no slouch himself as a director. He’s definitely been around the block, but this looks like his best film yet. I’m glad Tatum has a chance to prove his dramatic chops, but let’s face it, this is all about Steve Carell. Many are already claiming his name is being engraved on an Oscar right now, and after that trailer, I can’t blame them. I cannot wait for this one.
Oscar Alert! Everything is in contention, but it’s all about Steve Carell.
