February is a huge month for television. Until February 25, 2015 the television world is stepped in its “sweeps” period where ratings matter the most. During this period networks roll out big premieres (e.g. CBS’ The Odd Couple, FOX’s Empire), big finales (e.g. NBC’s Parks & Rec) and special guest spots and cross-overs.
However, February just isn’t about premieres, finales and stunt casting. It’s also about steeping yourself in your favorite weekly series. The long holiday hiatus is over and the inconsistencies of January are finally over. We gathered five of our regular television writers to talk about five shows they were obsessed with in the “month of love.”
