The Top Six Disney Animated Classics We Want Made Into Live Action Films

Frozen – Marley Ghizzone

Live action adaptations are almost always weird. They were cartoons for a reason so the real life limitations put an uneasy edge to the whole production. With that being said, I obviously cannot wait to see Cinderella. Richard Madden, who is playing Prince Charming, looks gorgeous. I could literally swim in his eyes they are so iridescently blue. I’m getting very sidetracked, though. While live action adaptations are strange, I would still love to see an adaptation of Frozen.

There are a lot of sequences that relied on the animation of the world. Olaf, one of the central characters, is a talking snowman. Elsa can shoot snow out of her hands and create ice castles. Sven the reindeer is very self aware for an animal. Of course, a great deal of this could be handled by CGI and other Hollywood magic. But does anyone remember the live action adaptation of Scooby Doo? Because I do- the CGI Scooby was very freaky and gave me nightmares.

But I don’t care. I want it. I want to see who they would cast as Kristoff. I want to wish and pray to whatever god is listening that they cast Idina Menzel as Elsa and Kristen Bell as Anna and then feel personally victimized when they don’t. I want to see the live action version of the singing montages.

I can say without a doubt that the live action adaptation of Frozen would be zany. And not in the fun way. The film would be riddled with very apparent CGI effects. But I know that I would love it, on a masochistic level of course, because Frozen is one of my favorite Disney Princess films.
