I originally had this much higher, but after further reflection this won’t break the bank. It’s going to do well, but after watching the trailer a couple more times, this movie looks pretty damn bad. Shamu the dinosaur? I don’t know about that one. It’s only a trailer, but Chris Pratt looks workmanlike in this film. His charisma doesn’t come off at all. People were lukewarm about the first trailer, and the Jurassic Park franchise itself for a while now. While it will garner some fascination, and should do okay critically, this one won’t crack $200 Million like I originally thought it would.
What It Has Going For It: It’s Jurassic Park.
What It Has Going Against It: Ho-hum trailer reaction, and let’s be honest: there’s only been one good Jurassic Park film, and it was made over 20 years ago.
