Analysis: If this came out one or two years after the first Ted, this could have threatened the $300 Million mark. Ted 2 should still break $200 Million, but it has lost some luster. I’m just not feeling the buzz right now, and while I didn’t think it was a big deal at the time, I actually do think Seth MacFarlane’s A Million Ways to Die in the West may hurt it just a tad. The trailer got a solid reaction, but there might be a Hangover 2 fear with this one – more of the same. I expect the marketing to ramp up big time very soon, and that should get people more excited.
