Today, the boys are officially back in town.

Vince (Adrian Grenier), E (Kevin Connolly), Drama (Kevin Dillon), Turtle (Jerry Ferrara) and Ari Gold (Jeremy Piven) — the heart and soul of HBO’s acclaimed series Entourage — return for the show’s big screen adaptation.

The series, based on the exploits of executive producer Mark Wahlberg and his entourage in his early days of Hollywood, was one of HBO’s tentpole series. It was a cultural touchstone. In short, it was a beloved series.

Now, it comes to the big screen.

Adapting television to the big screen has been a hit-or-miss proposition. Classic series like Star Trek and Mission: Impossible have found mammoth success, while others like The Avengers (no, not that one), The Mod Squad, Lost in Space, and Leave it to Beaver have been critically and financially eviscerated.

Most recently HBO took one of their seminal series, Sex and the City, and put it on the big screen, to mixed results – both financially and critically.

So we put it to four members of our staff, our own ‘entourage,’ to express their thoughts, fears, hopes, and worries about the boys hitting the big screen.
