First Time I Saw It: It was at the Universal City movie theater at Universal Studios, Los Angeles.  I either saw it opening or second weekend.  The crowd was packed to the brim, and I’m pretty sure there were way more adults then kids.  People were having emotional breakdowns and near seizures during this movie, and when it ended you could have slipped on the puddles of tears that permeated throughout the theater.  This was an experience.

Its Impact on the Pixar Brand: Massive.  First and foremost, it’s the highest grossing Pixar film of all time, so there’s that.  Only four jackasses gave it a negative review on Rotten Tomatoes, and no, I’m not giving their names here, that’s what they want.  But most importantly, it was the finale (or so we thought) to the franchise that started it all for Pixar.  It’s one of the greatest movie endings of all time, but leave it to Hollywood to screw it all up with Toy Story 4 in 2017.  I get it.  Hollywood’s a business.  I really thought this would be one of those “hallowed ground” scenarios where no amount of money would produce a sequel, but I guess if you throw enough around, anything’s possible.  I’ll give it a chance, but the idea of Toy Story 4 sickens me.

Why I Love It: The movie speaks for itself.  I’ve never cried after a film, but Toy Story 3 really tested me.  I know many others have mentioned other great Pixar films that they love, but this to me is not only their best, it’s their best by far.  Movies like The Incredibles and Finding Nemo are really clever and funny, but the last thirty minutes of Toy Story 3 transcended cinema.

Best Moment: First of all, Toy Story 3 spoilers.  This film truly brought me into the emotion of these characters, and this is coming from someone who likes the first two, but wasn’t a fanatic.  It’s all about the final two sequences.  When all the toys go down towards the incinerator, I really had no idea what the hell was going to happen.  I was convinced these things could actually die.  Everyone was dead silent, and you could feel the absolute fear throughout that theater.  It was one of the most memorable experiences I’ve ever had in a movie theater.  Then you had the ending where Andy and the toys part ways, and that’s where everyone cried like a damn four year old.  Toy Story 3 is Pixar’s masterpiece.  They will never make a better film.  No way.
