Oh, happy days!

The award winning comic, Chew, is finally being made into an animated movie. David Tennant (Doctor Who) has officially been cast in the film alongside Felicia Day and Steven Yeun (The Walking Dead.) The John Layman and Rob Guillory created comic focuses on an FDA agent, Tony Chu (Yeun), with a unique superpower. Chu has the ability to see the life history of everything he eats and uses his ‘cibopathy’ to investigate crimes.

Tennant will be playing Chu’s partner, Mason Savoy. The part was originally intended for Robin Williams, who was a fan of the comic series, but was recast in the wake of the actor’s death. Rounding out the characters is Amelia, Tony’s love interest. Though Day, who was cast as the superpowered food critique, has already recorded her lines the film still has no release date.
