Pre-Trailer Thoughts: Tom Hardy plays two brothers in a gangster movie. This could be fun. -LJF

Pre-Trailer Thoughts: I’m a big fan of Tom Hardy, especially after this year’s excellent Mad Max Fury Road, so each new movie he starts in almost instantly becomes a must-see for me. Here he’ll be playing a dual role as the infamous gangster brothers the Krays, which will hopefully allow him to greatly expand his acting repertoire. – JTM

Rate the Trailer: 4 out of 5. The trailer seems to play up the “cool mob movie” vibe, and that gives it some points. The steady musical beat in the background ramps up the interest, but honestly, any movie feature Tom Hardy twice is probably going to be something to watch. -LJF

Rate the Trailer: 4 out of 5. The heavily stylized directorial style, barely understandable English accents, and themes of English mobsters in this trailer really reminded me of early Guy Ritchie movies like Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels. Hardy has taken on his dual roles head on and looks to have done a great job embodying two characters that are so similar yet so different at the same time. The supporting cast we caught glimpses of is promising as well, with Chazz Palminteri and Christopher Eccelston rounding out the cast. – JTM

Theater, Rent, No Thanks, Undecided? Rent (but maybe Theater). Legend looks like a blast, but I’ll have to wait and see if it meets theater criteria closer to release date. With that being said, I won’t miss out catching it either way.-LJF

Theater, Rent, Undecided, No Thanks? Theater. Tom Hardy is quickly becoming a must-see actor for me, and for him to have such an interesting dual-part in this film definitely intrigues me. If everything pans out this could likely lead to his first Oscar nomination as well. The director is Brian Helgeland, who also did the Jackie Robinson biopic 42, which I found to have liked more than most people. As I said, his hard-hitting style for this film is certainly reminiscent of Guy Ritchie’s English gangster-films, but if your going to copy somebody why not copy from the best? – JTM

Legend begins October 2nd, 2015
