DiCaprio and Scorsese Team Up For New Project

Martin Scorsese and Leo DiCaprio to develop Devil in the White City.

An adaptation of Devil in the White City, a nonfiction novel about two men during the 1893 Chicago World Fair, looks to finally be coming to fruition. It follows the architect of the fair, Daniel H. Burnham who had many obstacles to overcome during his construction of the “White City.” In contrast, the novel details the life and nefarious deeds of serial killer H.H. Holmes.

Leonardo DiCaprio had bought the rights to the film in 2010 after Paramount had let the rights lapsed once in 2004 and again in 2007. Now, after 6 years, Paramount has once again picked up the project with DiCaprio starring as H.H. Holmes, Scorsese directing, and Billy Ray writing the screenplay according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Devil in the White City is gearing up to be Martin Scorsese’s next movie.
