Oscar Alert! I’m only putting this here as a public service announcement. While Star Wars will certainly be nominated for a plethora of technical awards, don’t get suckered in. If the movie is as good as we all think it’s going to be, there will be talk about it getting a Best Picture nomination. DON’T FALL INTO THIS TRAP. It’s not going to happen. Please don’t get your hopes up for this. If the Oscars made one thing clear last year, it’s that they hate franchises more than ever. This will never happen.
