86. The Exorcist III – 1990
“The Psych Ward”
It’s no secret that The Exorcist III is a poor film, especially since it’s a sequel to one of the greatest and scariest films ever made. It doesn’t have a strong plot and the characters are bland and incredibly forgettable, but there is one scene that has always stuck with audiences since it came out and it happens when the nurse is checking rooms. When she turns off the light and closes the door to walk a way, a shape appears, arms out-streched, ready to chop her head off with hedge clippers. It’s jolting, terrifying and the only highlight to this film. If this film had been better, this moment could have been much higher up.
