46. It Follows – 2015
The Tall Man
Much like The Babadook, It Follows dares to change up the horror formula and was bashed for it just as much as it was praised. I don’t care what anyone says, this movie is a great homage to horror flicks of the 1980’s and is effective on the scares as well. I’ll admit, I jumped a few times, most notably when Jay allows her friends into the room. Through the darkness, a tall man (“it”) walks through the door frame, appearing out of nowhere, scaring Jay, us and probably the people down the street who heard us scream.
