The Rape
Could it have been anything else? The Last House on the Left is infamous for its scene where two high school girls are gang raped by criminals and then murdered. This scene is disgusting for the word rape alone but it’s the joy the criminals take in doing these deeds that is truly sickening. To make matters worse, there is a lingering shot on the faces of the accused who actually look sick to their stomachs at what they’ve done. It’s very telling, a human moment between psychopaths who question, “What have we done?”
