35. Frankenstein – 1931
“It’s Alive!”
Boy, what a classic Frankenstein is. It’s one of the greatest tales ever told and this film still holds up today. I can’t even imagine what audiences were going through in 1931 when Victor Frankenstein created his monster, frantically screaming to Igor, “IT’S ALIVE! IT’S ALIVE”! I personally feel that this is one of the deepest performances in all of film as Dr. Frankenstein plays the very fine line between scientific genius and mentally insane. Either way, this scene is scary.
