The Best Comic Books of 2015

Airboy
By James Robinson and Greg Hinkle

Airboy_01-1

Daunted by the task of reimagining a WWII based character named “Airboy”, industry sellout James Robinson draws a blank. How do you resurrect a long forgotten Golden Age Comic book figure? Joined by artist Greg Hinkle, the two down-on-their-luck embark on a drug, booze, and sex fueled journey in order to muster up inspiration on the new series.

Written and drawn with unbelievable wit, debauchery, and dark fun, readers will find themselves filled with appreciation of this all-too-straightforward tale that balances the absurd and meaningful. Robinson creates laugh out loud moments along with real characters that carry real weight. I highly recommend this 4 part series that pulls no punches and doesn’t care who it offends. Did somebody say controversy?
