The Best Comic Books of 2015

Saga
By Brian K. Vaughan and Fiona Staples

Saga_32-1

Everyone is currently excited about Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but I am more enthralled in the adventures of Marko, Alana, Hazel, and the rest of the phenomenal cast of Saga. Brian K. Vaughan and Fiona Staples have crafted the modern space epic of it’s time, and it continues to be one of the best ongoing stories of any medium.

The story of star-crossed lovers from opposite sides of the battlefield might sound like an overused cliche, but Vaughn’s no-holds-barred style of writing combined with Staples’ breathtaking artwork makes Saga one of the most visually stunning and heartbreaking books out there. While I am still waiting for a proper adaptation of Vaughan’s Y: The Last Man, it would make me even happier to see Netflix or HBO tackle Saga as their next big project. If done right, a fateful adaption of Saga could be as big as Game of Throne.
