2. Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice

I know putting this at #2 is very high, but the fact that a live action Batman movie isn’t in my first slot with no episodic Star Wars movie coming out is a big deal for me. I’m worried. While I loved the first two trailers, that last one with Doomsday sent a shiver down my spine. I’ve already laid this out in detail when I broke the trailer down, but bottom-line is this – it looks like a typical comic book movie in the vein of Avengers: Age of Ultron. Silly. Forced plot lines. Very Marvel. With Chris Terrio (Argo) writing the screenplay, Ben Affleck’s involvement and my love for Man of Steel, I’m expecting a lot more. Maybe seeing Batman fight a CGI monster takes some getting used too, and the film will be great. There’s also no denying the pressure on this film. If this underperforms and gets a split reaction, Warner Brothers & DC are in big, big, big trouble. I’m still hopeful, but my excitement has shifted to anxiety.
