‘Arcadia’
(Season 6, Episode 15)
In a perfect gated community in a small town, several disappearances lead agents Mulder and Scully to the area to debunk the case. However, the two agents go undercover as a happily married couple in order to get in close with the communities inhabitants. Once settled in, the two notice that the people strictly abide any rule given, fearing the consequences if they ever disobey.
Why it’s worth watching: There are a couple reasons I picked this episode. One, it is one of the best “Monster-of-the-weeks” the show had. I won’t give away the big twist to the episode. Also, seeing Mulder and Scully acting as a married couple was a nice treat to finally see, given the that show always touched on their relationship. All in all, a solid episode all around with a great villain, with genuinely great scares and wonderful comedic moments.
