The New Ghosbusters Trailer Has Arrived

This is the day we’ve all either waited for or dreaded for years — the day the new trailer for Paul Feig’s reboot of Ghostbusters appeared.

The film is slated for a release date of July 15, 2016, and will feature longtime Feig collaborators Kristen Wiig and Melissa McCarthy as the headliners. The reunited Bridesmaids team star as Erin Gilbert, and Abby Yates respectively — a pair of authors who write a book on how ghosts are real. The two team up with nuclear engineer Jillian Holtzman (SNL‘s Kate McKinnon), and subway worker Patty Tolan (SNL‘s Leslie Jones) to form a new Ghostbusters team. The team battles to the save the world from a demon known as Rowan (Neil Casey) who can exercise control over the human form.

The film also features Chris Hemsworth (seen in the trailer), as well as Andy Garcia, Game of Thrones’ Charles Dance, Michael Kenneth Williams (Boardwalk Empire), Elizabeth Perkins, Cecily Strong (SNL), Matt Walsh (Upright Citizens Brigade), and of course we’ve all heard that are supposed cameos from the original cast (Bill Murray, Sigourney Weaver, Dan Aykroyd, Annie Potts, and Ernie Hudson).
