Pop-Break Live: Adam Lambert at The Paramount in Long Island
American Idol alum (and one of the most successful non-AI winners in recent memory) Adam Lambert brought his “Original High” tour to The Paramount in Huntington on Long Island. The sometime Queen frontman, and solo artist is touring to promote his 2015 release, The Original High. Opening for Lambert was former Glee star Alex Newell who starred as transgender student Unique Adams on Fox’s musical comedy-drama. He has gone onto music and has contributed feature vocals to songs for Clean Bandit, Blonde and The Knocks.
Pop-Break’s Dana Mansbart caught Lambert and Newell in action.

The Original High is a fantastic tour (and song)! Go to a show if you can.
FYI … Whataya Want from Me is not a cover. P!nk and others wrote it and Adam recorded it for his debut album, For Your Entertainment. Adam received a Grammy nomination for that song. Lay Me Down is also not a cover. Avicii, Adam, and Nile Rodgers co-wrote the song and it’s Adam singing on the track on Avicii’s True album.
