New X-Men: Apocalypse Trailer Reveals Huge Cameo

The final trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse dropped this morning — with huge ramifications attached to it.

The first being the reveal of something comic book fans have known for ages, the identity of Quicksilver’s (Evan Peters) father. It’s not a huge shock if you’ve read the X-Men for years, but if you’re a rookie to the subject matter, buckle your seatbelt.

The second reveal is the much talked-about “big cameo.” We’re not going to spoil it (but you probably can figure out who it is) so stick around to the final seconds of this in order to see just who we’re talking about.

The final trailer also gives us more of a look into Apocalypse’s (Oscar Isaac) plan, as well as more action from the new X-Men team including Jean Grey (Sophie Turner), and Nightcrawler (Kodi Smit-McPhee) as well as Olivia Munn’s Psylocke. We also get insight into why Magneto is joining forces with Apocalypse — it’s actually quite powerful, but if you’re just mesmerized by the effects and action you might miss out on it.

X-Men: Apocalypse opens on May 27 and stars Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), James McAvoy (Professor X), Michael Fassbender (Magneto), Oscar Isaac (Apocalypse), Kodi Smit-McPhee (Nightcrawler), Olivia Munn (Psylocke), Rose Byrne (Moira MacTaggert), Nicholas Hoult (Beast), Evan Peters (Quicksilver), Tye Sheridan (Cyclops), Alexandra Shipp (Storm), Ben Hardy (Angel) and Lucas Till (Havok). The film is directed by series originator Bryan Singer.
