Fans can visit Kayser’s website to hear the title track “Place to Settle,” which promises plenty of alt. country, folk and Americana sounds on the album.

Specifically, the LP examines Kayser’s first major breakup, life after grad school and enduring the devastation caused by Hurricane Sandy. The album confronts the uncertainties of life and how to navigate through them. These topics make for an introspective album that has a hopeful undertone due to Kayser’s bright and inviting voice.

Colton Kayser is a known name in the Jersey shore music scene, with multiple nominations for the Asbury Music Awards ranging from Top Male Acoustic Act, Top New Male Act to Record of the Year. Fans can find him performing in the venue “circuit” of the shore area, touring across the country or attending the shows of his friends such as dollys, Cranston Dean or Cold Weather Company.

Place to Settle will be available in a limited edition translucent orange vinyl, or on standard vinyl and CD. Fans may preorder the album on Kayser’s website. Just don’t forget to preview the title track or check out his upcoming tour dates!

She is a frequent concert-goer, whether they’re happening in New Brunswick basements, Asbury Park venues, concert halls in NYC and anywhere in between. Alternative rock is her go-to genre (i.e. Kings of Leon, Cage the Elephant, Foals, The Maine and lots more). When she isn’t writing for The Pop Break, she works at the North Brunswick Public Library, which offers plenty of Fantasy/Adventure novels to quench her love of reading. Additionally, she takes on creative projects from dream catchers and scrapbooks to paintings and jewelry making. She’s always happy to talk about her furry Maine Coon cat Austen and his knack for playing fetch and hide and seek. Just try not to ask about her next career move, because trust me, she’s working on it.
