Billy Joel Dedicates Rare Song to Orlando Victims at 76th MSG Show

Pop-Break Live: Billy Joel at Madison Square Garden

Billy Joel. Madison Square Garden.

Chills go up your spine thinking about it.

While Joel is years deep into his monthly run at the world’s most famous arena, you cannot help but feel the excitement and electricity of the entire event.

And you also have to expect that the famed piano man will do something special at one of these shows.

During his June 17th show, Joel dedicated the song “You’re Only Human (Second Wind)” to the victims of the Pulse nightclub shooting in Orlando on June 12, as well as their families. This was the first time Joel had performed the song live since 1987.

The song was originally released in 1985 as one of the “new” cuts off his album Billy Joel’s Greatest Hits.

He would later dedicate the song “Zanzibar” to the late Muhammad Ali.
