Pop-Break Live: Convention Hell at Convention Hall in Asbury Park

Convention Hall is probably one of the coolest Halloween parties in New Jersey. The show is an annual gathering of some of the most highly talented original local bands donning the personas of, and paying tribute some of the biggest names in music history.

The event featured: Members of The Parlor Mob (and friends) performing as INXS, The Shady Street Show Band performing as No Doubt, Deaf Rhino performing as Black Sabbath, Des and the Swagmatics performing as Michael Jackson, Matt Wade and Friends performing as Elton Johnson, Karmic Juggernaut performing as YES
and The Vansaders performing as New York Dolls, and Johnny Thunders. DJ Mike Merrell spun in between sets.

The night saw guest appearances from Nicole Atkins who performed with Matt Wade, and Emily Grove who sat in with Karmic Juggernaut.

Pop-Break’s Jeff Crespi caught all the bands in action.
