The Stranger Things Season 2 Trailer Wins All of San Diego Comic

It’s no surprise that Stranger Things was front and center at San Diego Comic Con this week.

However, no one could’ve expected the “thrilling” trailer the series dropped today.

The trailer begins with our heroes hanging at the local arcade — like any kid in 1984 would. However, things start getting weird when visions of the “upside down” start bleeding into young Will’s (Noah Schnapp) life.

From there we get an absolutely intoxicating trailer that will send chills up your spine — both from suspense, and from the sheer greatness unfolding before your eyes.

We get to see all our favorite characters — the gang (Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin), Hopp (David Harbour), Joyce (Winona Ryder), Steve (Joey Keery)…and one we’ve all been wondering where she went. We’ll keep you in suspense about that one.

One of the best parts of the trailer is without a doubt the implementation of the opening of Michael Jackson’s classic track, “Thriller.” Vincent Price’s ominous narration at the beginning of the song perfectly and chillingly underscores every moment of the trailer.

I’ve seen a lot of trailers come out of San Diego Comic Con this week, but nothing even remotely compares to how great this trailer is. Go watch it now.
