Fat Joe, Don Omar Headline Mega 97.9’s All-Star Mega Summer Concert

Pop Break Live: 97.9’s Mega Summer Concert featuring: El Alfa, Noriel, Bryant Myers, Jory Boy, Alexis y Fido, Arcangel y De La Ghetto, Wisin, Don Omar, J Balvin, Alex Sensation, A Boogie, Fat Joe and more at Madison Square Garden.

New York’s #1 destination for the best in salsa, merengue, reggaeton and tropical dance music, Mega 97.9 closed summer out with a massive show at The Garden.

Dubbed The Mega Summer Concert, the epic show featured some of the top names in Reggaeton, Spanish Urban Music and Trap and they all delivered fiery, blow away performances.

El Alfa, Noriel, Bryant Myers, Jory Boy, and Alexis y Fido were the first group of performers, and got the crowd amped for the second half. Arcangel y De La Ghetto was a cameo filled event as Gigolo, La Exec, Tali Goya and one of Trap’s biggest stars, Bad Bunny, all jumped on stage for special performances.

J Alvarez and the charismatic Wisin followed up, and got the audience prepared for the two main events — Don Omar, and Fat Joe, but not before Alex Sensation brought out the special guest of the evening, J Balvin, who currently has the worldwide hit “Mi Gente” and is set to return to The Garden in September for his Energia Tour.

Don Omar, known to many as “El Rey” or the “King of Kings of Reggaeton Music,” brought out his top hits including, “Danza Kuduro” to the delight of the ecstatic crowd.

New York’s own Fat Joe, the leader of the Terror Squad, closed the night out. The Bronx native brought out A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie on stage and brought the house down with cuts from his iconic catalog.

The concert was produced by Mega 97.9 and Felix Cabrera Presents.

Pop Break’s Saidy Lopez caught all the red hot action for the site.
