Pre-Trailer Thoughts: Truth be told, I had no idea about this movie until recently. Today was the first day I watched the trailer. That’s pretty much that. -LJF

Pre-Trailer Thoughts: With this cast, my Oscar senses started tingling immediately. -BB

Rate the Trailer: 3 out of 5. Michael Scott, Walter White, and Morpheus all in the same movie? What a cast. To be frank, this is most likely gunning for Oscar noms. Carell has this and Battle of the Sexes releasing in the fall as well, so he may be lucky and win one of them. Beyond the trio, the movie itself doesn’t carry a lot of familiar faces, but I’m sure the main draw should be on the main stars. In any case, it’s a solid trailer, but the main story feels familiar and aiming to be a cliche tearjerker, so let’s hope the boys can at least elevate it. -LJF

Rate the Trailer: 3 out of 5. I’m kind of torn on this trailer. On paper this is the trailer that Oscar dreams are made of — it’s related to war, it’s got an all-star cast, it’s got an A-List director. But, something about the way this was cut seemed like they didn’t know what they want the movie to be — is it an AARP buddy road flick with a hint of sorrow, or is it a devastating drama about war, and loss? The end result is a bit of a mess. -BB

Theater, Rent, No Thanks, Undecided? Rent. This will probably be a decent watch on home video. Don’t think I’ll rush out to see in on the big screen. -LJF

Theater, Rent, No Thanks, Undecided? Undecided. I’m going to need another trailer. I’ve never been a Linklater guy (he’s talented as hell, but his movies don’t do it for me), and this trailer was ‘eh’ at best. I want to see something with more meat on the bones to decide if I even want to watch this film at all. -LJF
