WWE RAW: Sierra, Hotel, India, Echo, Lima, Delta

The Shield Is Back: Let’s address the elephant in the room first. Yes, The Shield have returned. Roman Reigns even got some cheers – look at that! You see those shirts? Definitely are going to sell out. The teases up to this point were great and the payoff was one of the hottest openings on Raw in a long time.

The match at TLC is a little murky – why is Braun Strowman just thrown into a match?  The Miz and The Bar could have been enough. This is the guy who was just challenging Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship at No Mercy a short time ago. If you are going to bring The Shield together, just based on the response of how they broke up, make it meaningful. Make it seem like it’s going to be just more than one PPV. Survivor Series is right around the corner. Make an interesting story because everybody goes off and does their own thing.

Whose Ready For Asuka?: Let’s be honest, this five women battle royal was who can draw the shortest draw in what will be a squash match with Asuka. It was thrown together, but check out some Asuka vs Emma matches in NXT. With Asuka’s debut looming at TLC, let’s hope this is not a one-and-done. This could be a feud that elevates both wrestlers as the Women’s Title situation gets figured out.

Can’t Keep A Good Veteran Down: I’m enjoying that Mickie James is back in the title picture. She’s been one of the RAW women that I felt have been underutilized since her inclusion. All we have to harp on is that she’s an older wrestler? They had the ‘rag-time, vaudevillian-like” video package to drive that point home, but just relying on that makes it seem like this is just a blow-off feud while Alexa Bliss waits for Nia Jax or Asuka.

Get To Know Sister Abigail: On the one hand, you have to be happy that they are doing something different with Bray Wyatt. His effect wore off a long time ago, mostly due to booking. The “Sister Abigail” twist is a creepy wrinkle to add into his repertoire. On the other hand, where does this story line go? The battle between Finn Balor and Bray Wyatt feels like it already came to it’s conclusion already. The unveiling of Sister Abigail warrants a bigger story other than what it seemly feels like is going to be an alter ego vs. alter ego match.

The End of ‘Monday Night Enzo’: The end the main event run of ‘Monday Night Enzo’ is done with Kalisto winning the title. Call Enzo the “king of contracts” because he’s had Kurt Angle sign a lot of them. There was a phenomenal super plex spot that took out all the cruiser weights. You have to question Enzo losing the title so quickly. He was hitting his stride as a heel and you undermine that with such a short title reign.
