Pop-Preview: Tim Williams Record Release Party

the news desk looks at a cool show in philly tonight…

Last year Pop-Break was introduced to Jersey Shore-raised, Philadelphia-based musician Tim Williams, when he performed at The Downtown at Red Bank as a part of the bar’s Music, Arts & Drafts Wednesday night. What we love about Williams, besides his melodic blend of pop and rock that brings us back to the glory days of mid-90s alt rock, is his dedication to his craft.

The man is out grinding it every night (well, at least 300 nights a year), in the local scene as well as earning his chance to open for hot alt rock acts like JJAMZ and Of Monsters and Men this summer for Philly’s Radio 104.5 Summer Block Party. His music has also been featured on Radio 104.5 (an amazing station to check out if you’re in the Philly area) on numerous occasions as well as TV shows like Extreme Home Makover and MyFixItUpLife.

Tonight, all that hard work and dedication comes to a wonderful payoff as Williams will be performing at the famed downstairs of World Cafe Live in Philadelphia to celebrate the release of his full-length album, Blue Ribbon. Performing along with Williams will be Simplified (Charlotte, NC) and Jenn Bostic (Nashville, TN).

For more on Tim Williams, check out his official website and look for a review of his record, Blue Ribbon, on Pop-Break.com later this week.
