Asbury Park, N.J. — Rock ‘n’ Roll is alive and well in Asbury Park, New Jersey and that point can illustrated no brighter than the vinyl record release party (for their album Weaving Spiders) by The Battery Electric at The Berkeley Bar located inside the Berkeley Cateret Hotel (yes, the hotel formerly owned by and some say haunted by Johnny Cash). The show starts at 9pm and will feature the band Plato Zorba opening up.

Weaving Spiders, the band’s first full-length record, is currently available on the Asbury Park label Little Dickman The label is also home to Inspecter 7, Wolfcock and Wreaths.

So what can you expect from Battery Electric this Saturday? Well, we’ll let them do the talking on this one…

“The newly formed The Battery Electric is built on the screaming, rocky, yet bluesy guitar of Brent Bergholm. Singer Ron Santee’s (formerly Ronnie Rude of Predator Dub Assassins) talents are split between lead vocals and drums, while the rhythm section is completed by bassist and sometimes-shirtless Alex Rosen. Produced by Pete Steinkopf from the Bouncing Souls their new LP Weaving Spiders hit stores in April 2013.”
