Theater, Rent, No Thanks, Undecided? No Thanks. Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges deserve better than this. The two pair up for R.I.P.D (Rest in Peace Department). which basically rips off Ghostbusters, Hellboy, and Men in Black (the last one being the most obvious). I’d be ok with another paranormal hunter movie coming out, since the idea is a lot of fun, but the creature creators behind this don’t even try to make their “dead” enemies look that much different from those in MIB. That, and the movie just looks dull. Gonna pass on this one. –LJF

Theater, Rent, No Thanks, Undecided? Rent. Color me surprised Senor Fowler. While I might not drop a ten-ski (or more) to RIPD in the cineplex, this will definitely be a solid and what I predict to be a fun rental. Jeff Bridges and Ryan Reynolds are always dependable when it comes to both the action and comedy genres and the two of them together will be gold. The film itself might be big, loud and dumb — but are you expecting this to be Shakespeare? Oh and the one and only DAVID LO PAN will be in this movie. Boom. –BB
