Pre-Trailer Thoughts: The baddie from Sleeping Beauty gets her own live action movie. Eh. –LJF

Pre-Trailer Thoughts: The baddie from Sleeping Beauty gets her own live action movie. Hmm. –BB

Rate the Trailer (1-5): Two out of five. Honestly, Jolie looks like the perfect fit for the Disney villain, but the trailer itself does really nothing to create interest in me. The film seems to be pulling from the same landscape as Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones (but more kid friendly) which is probably a good idea to interest adults and fans of the follow up Sleeping Beauty. –LJF

Rate the Trailer (1-5): Three out of five. This reminds me of Snow White & The Huntsman but hopefully better. This has a very high gloss, popcorn flick look to it, but man is the story all over the place on this one. She’s good? She’s bad? There’s a war? Sleeping Beauty isn’t actually asleep. Ugh, my head hurts. –BB

Theater, Rent, No Thanks, Undecided: No Thanks. To be frank, out of all the classic Disney animated films, Sleeping Beauty is not one I really partake in watching again and again. This film therefore holds no real weight for me. I can imagine Jolie saving the film, gleefully enjoying herself as the famous witch that cursed a blonde girl to take the longest nap ever, but still, this is not my kind of cinematic adventure. –LJF

Theater, Rent, No Thanks, Undecided: Undecided. I’d like to see this film, but I can’t decide if it’s worthy of the movie theater or not. It could be a fun popcorn click, but man history is not on its side. Snow White & The Huntsman which pretty disappointing and this reeks of the same production value, story and action. But, something tells me Angelina Jolie is going to go all out to make this something special. So I’m going to need to see a few more trailers before I make my final decision. –BB
