Spend 24 hours immersing yourself in art.

It’ll be time well-spent.

On Saturday June 21 and Sunday 22, Artworks Trenton presents Art All Night 2014 — a multi-discipline festival displays the best in music, visual arts, workshops, film, and food for a straight 24 hours in downtown Trenton. The event will take place at The Historic Roebling Wire Works located at 675 South Clinton Avenue in Trenton, New Jersey.

This year, over 30,000 visitors are anticipated, with over 1,000 artists displaying works across a variety of mediums, over 50 musical acts, over 20 artisan craftmakers selling their creations, and dozens of workshops, family friendly events, and famous food vendors from around the state.

Highlights of this year’s event include a mobile glass-blowing installation, designed by JMG Studios of Piscataway to be of-the-moment, dazzling and epic in its scope and beauty, and a “dueling muralists” creation of a giant, multi-artist mural. In 2013, four muralists of drastically different styles came together and created a giant and multifaceted “jam piece” of art themed around the scariest works of Edgar Allan Poe. This year, multiple artists will be thrown into collaborative creation of a multi-genre mural of “wicked, scary fairie tales,” created over the festival’s 24 hours.

The festival will premiere The Bench, a feature-length film created by a collective of Trenton filmmakers, at 8:17 pm on June 21. The Bench is a story about a day in the life of a park bench in Trenton, and the interweaving personalities that circle that bench. Split into eight related and interconnected short films, ‘The Bench’ demonstrates the diversity, collaboration, and raw storytelling power of Trenton’s artistic community. The film headlines the 24-hour film festival component of Art All Night, which includes features and short films from around the world. A full list of festival films is available here.

There will be a massive Artist & Crafter Fair Market. In it’s second year, the AAN Artist and Crafter Market is now accepting applications to take part in this exciting addition to Art All Night. With more than 30,000 in attendance in 2013, this is your once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to showcase your original art, handmade crafts, clothing and other DIY-related items to the masses.
