When I wrote this list last year I mentioned how excited I was to write the top ten for 2015.  Due to a couple films being moved around, that’s not entirely the case anymore, and now it seems next year will be the one to truly anticipate. 2016 is just absurd. But we’re here to talk about the now, and 2015 certainly offers no shortage of potentially awesome movies. Noticed I used the word “potential.” While some of the story concepts on this list sound downright fascinating, they also have a lot of questions surrounding them. There’s no doubt at least one of the movies on here will inevitably be a big stinking disappointment. Even with all these exciting films upon us, let’s be honest – there’s only one that truly matters.  If that movie turns out to be everything I dream it can be, I really wouldn’t care if the rest of these turned out to be total crap-fests, but we’ll get there. Sequels. Quick Honorable Mentions: St. James Place, The Revenant, The Martian, Entourage

Some of these films have incredible talent involved, but because they are so far out, not enough is yet known. These are movies that are sure to be brought up in my Fall Preview down the road. In the case of Entourage, this would have definitely made my top ten as I was a huge fan of the show, but that trailer was absolutely terrible. Seriously, why is Turtle in 90% of this trailer? He was the one element of the show nobody liked, but the scene where he fights the female gymnast or whatever at the end was all I needed to see – I have zero expectations for this film.
