Grace Gummer, one of the new additions to Mr. Robot’s second season, sat down with Pop-Break.com for a roundtable interview at San Diego Comic-Con on Friday July 22.

The 30 year old actress joined the hit USA series this season, and portrays Dominique “Dom” DiPierro, an FBI agent investigating the hacking of E Corp.  Gummer may be new to Mr. Robot, but she is in no way new to the world of film and television. Some may remember her as Hallie Shea on Aaron Sorkin’s HBO drama The Newsroom, or as the tattooed Penny on American Horror Story: Freak Show in 2014-2015. She’s also been a part of the CBS sci-fi series Extant, and the TeenNick dramedy, Gigantic.

Of course, you may also know her as the daughter of one of the greatest actresses of all-time, Meryl Streep.

Below are the questions the roundtable interviewers asked Malek, and the timestamp which he gave his answer:

Q1: Referring to Sorkin’s Newsroom, Gummer was asked what it’s like going from one director to the other.

A1: 00:07

Q2: Gummer was asked about Dom’s Amazon, Alexa.

A2: 1:45

Q3: A question was posed regarding Dom’s progress on investigating F Society.

A3: 1:16

Q4: Will we see Dom interacting with Alexa more?

A4: 2:00

Q5: All the characters of power at this point have been bad guys to say the least, but your character is breaking molds, did you have a lot of conversations with Sam about that?

A5: 2:50

Q6: Did you enjoy the VR experience?

A6: 3:27

Q7: The show has a habit of giving bare minimum about the characters, letting it unfold, how much has Sam told you about your character that we don’t know yet?

A7: 4:04

Q8: Is it a tricky line to walk to play a character that is a “good guy,” at least we think, who is in direct opposition, or at least somewhat opposition, to our main protagonist? Is it a tricky line to talk in terms of being the antagonistic non-villain?

A8: 5:01

Q9: It seems like you and F Society have sort of the same philosophies, you want to keep the world safe. How do you think she would react to learning Elliott’s point of view on the issue?

A9: 6:07

Interview filmed by Ryan DeMarco, and Alfred Mannarino. Question transcription by Alisha Weinberger. Introduction by Bill Bodkin.
