It almost makes sense that one of the iconic teen stars of the ’90s would be cast in a role for one of the most iconic teen comic book franchise of all-time.

That’s right Dylan McKay is in the Archie Universe.

Over the summer, one of our interviews at San Diego Comic-Con 2016 was with Luke Perry. Perry plays Fred Andrews on The CW’s Riverdale — the father of Archie Andrews (KJ Apa). Among other topics, Perry expresses his love of the cast, why it took so long to adapt Archie Comics, and what his role on the show will be as Archie’s father.

Luke Perry has appeared in numerous TV shows and movies. He’s best known for playing the aforementioned Dylan McKay on another teen drama, Fox’s Beverly Hills, 90210. He also portrayed Reverend Jeremy Cloutier on HBO’s Oz.

Catch Luke Perry tonight on Riverdale which premieres on The CW!
