The Trailer For Stephen King’s It Reminds Us Why We’re All Terrified of Clowns

The Trailer of Stephen King’s “It” Reminds Us Why We’re All Terrified of Clowns

If you aren’t freaked out by clowns after seeing the first trailer for the big screen version of Stephen King’s It — you may be the bravest person alive.

The chilling new trailer dropped today, and we got to see the new Pennywise the Clown (Bill Skarsgård — son of Stellan, and brother of Alex) in horrifying action. He appears at the end, so be patient with your viewing.

The cast for the 2017 version (the first big screen version of the famed novel) includes: Skarsgård, Finn Wolfhard (aka Mike from Stranger Things), Javier Botet (The Revenant), Nicholas Hamilton (Captain Fantastic), Megan Carpenter (Mama), and Jaeden Lieberher (St. Vincent).

The plot this incarnation of the film is: “In a small town of Derry, Maine, seven children come face to face with life problems, bullies and a monster that takes the shape of a clown called Pennywise.”

The last time we saw the scariest clown ever was the 1990 television movie starring Tim Curry as Pennywise. The cast also featured: Harry Anderson (Night Court), Richard Masur (The Thing), Dennis Christopher (Breaking Away), Annette O’Toole (Nash Bridges), Tim Reid (Sister Sister), Richard Thomas (The Waltons), and John Ritter.

The film is directed by Andrés Muschietti, whose previous work includes the horror film Mama.

Stephen King’s It is scheduled for a September 2017 release.
