Fans of the Red Bank, NJ-based Young Rising Sons are in for some exciting news.

These alt-rockers are back with a new music video for their inspirational single “Undefeatable.” The track is off of the Undefeatable +2 EP, which was released this past October.

The video tells the story of Paralympic Track & Field athlete Lacey Henderson, whose right leg was amputated above the knee when she was just 9 years old. The black and white video shows snapshots of her journey from the diagnosis of her leg to persevering through physical therapy and ultimately, training for the Paralympics. Her determination to overcome these difficult obstacles helped her become the current American record holder for the long jump and 200m sprint.

Lacey Henderson’s resilience is what “Undefeatable” is about and the song speaks to the underdog in all of us. Despite having the odds stacked against us, we all have the ability to push through our hardships and remain undefeatable.

On the Undefeatable +2 EP, it’s no surprise that there are two more tracks, “Simple Life” and a cover of “Melt with You,” which are just as meaningful as “Undefeatable.” Their most recent single, “Carry On,” released on February 10, is a heartfelt song about promising a loved one that you’ll always be by their side no matter what life throws at you.

These tracks tide listeners over while Young Risings Sons works on their upcoming full-length album in their hometown studio. The album will be released on Dirty Canvas/Interscope Records, and more details will be unveiled over the course of the recording process.

As far as tour dates go, Young Rising Sons will be playing in Denver, Colorado at the Denver Day of Rock on Saturday, May 27. The event is presented by Amp the Cause, a non-profit organization that raises funds to provide children in the community with quality healthcare and education. If you happen to live in Colorado, head over to the Curtis Stage by 6:30 p.m. to see their performance!
