Not long ago Steven Universe fans were unaware of what lied ahead for the future of one of our favorite cartoons.
The show has had five seasons, and it was apparent that the story of the Crystal Gems was not over at the end of Season 5. There were rumors all over the internet of Season 5 being the end of the series.
But, how could Season 5 really be the end?
We learned so much about Pink Diamond and the formation of the Cyrstal Gems. We saw homeworld and how the other Diamond’s functioned. We learned secrets about earth, and the season ended on an amazing wedding episode. Of course there has to be more to this story.
At SDCC Steven Universe fans got great news. The story will continue with its own new movie. The teaser starts off by showing us a heart crystal. This seems innocent enough until we hear some heinous music while our crystal gems faces flash within the crystal heart. Then, we hear some maniacal laughter and get a glimpse of a scary profile for an unknown character.
The reveal was shocking and exciting. Who was the mysterious figure at the end? Fans will have to wait for more reveals to uncover more details.
