Wrestlemania 35 Predictions Series: Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal

Written by Michael Vacchiano

The tradition that was born at WrestleMania 30 continues this year with the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. Pretty much every wrestler who doesn’t have a scheduled match will compete for the trophy that’s damn near as tall as its legendary namesake.

While continually treated as an undercard match, there have been some fun and memorable moments in its history. Cesaro and Baron Corbin put themselves on notice with huge unexpected wins, while celeb athletes like Shaq and Gronk got involved in the action. This year, the only listed participant who seems like they have a legit shot at winning is Braun Strowman, who is clearly the favorite. However, my Spidey senses tell me a surprise curveball may be in the works…..

“Jersey/NY……I’m here!” (blows out lantern)

Absent for several months due to injury, Bray Wyatt is rumored to be in the area for this event. I’m going bold here, I know, but I’m predicting the Eater of Worlds to make an unannounced appearance in the Battle Royal and come away with the win. I could even see him being helped by either SaNiTy, or maybe Heavy Machinery, who then becomes the new Wyatt Family. Bray eliminates the Monster Among Men to clinch the victory, and perhaps start a post-Mania feud with his former protege. Sign me up for that!

Winner: Bray Wyatt

Catch the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal on the WWE Network and the USA Network this Sunday as a part of the Wrestlemania Pre-Show.
