Lorde, Nine Inch Nails, Arctic Monkeys to Headline Primavera Sound Los Angeles

Primavera Sound, inarguably the festival name behind some of the greatest lineups and biggest festivals coming out of Europe and South America year after year, are making ground-breaking waves on the West Coast. It’s official: Primavera Sound is coming to Los Angeles!

In a city like Los Angeles with so much to see and do – not to mention half a dozen great festivals to attend within driving distance throughout the year – you’d think skipping Primavera’s inaugural festival in the City of Angels would be a good bet – but you’d be wrong. Boasting a lineup that rivals even their most legendary European festivals, Primavera Sound is hosting a three-day celebration of music in the beautiful Los Angeles State Historic Park in Downtown LA, featuring the ethereal festival queen Lorde, hard rock legends Nine Inch Nails, and the triumphant return of Sheffield greats Arctic Monkeys just on the cusp of releasing their first new album in 5 years.
Performing alongside their friend Lorde on Friday, September 16th, will be singer-songwriter indie queens Clairo and Mitski while techno-pop veterans Stereolab make a rare but unmissable appearance. Mosh pits will certainly be alive on Saturday for Fontaines D.C. while inevitable dance pits open for Bicep (Live) and Drain Gang. Sonic Youth fans should take time not to miss Kim Gordon that day as well.
On Sunday, for those hoping to hear new music from Arctic Monkeys (which they’ve been recently premiering at recent shows!), there’s plenty to see from dream pop band Cigarettes After Sex, and three killer singer-songwriters known for great live shows: James Blake, Girl in Red, and King Krule.
One-day, two-day, and 3-day GA, as well as 3-day VIP tickets are all still available. A generous layaway plan offers the best opportunity for frugal fans to not miss out on a memorable weekend in Los Angeles.
Primavera Sound Los Angeles will surely be the best way to close out festival season, and hopefully a new start to a yearly tradition hosted by a monumental brand known for putting great music and music fans first.
