Hurricane Sandy may have hit the Jersey Shore two months ago but the recovery is far from over. To help out the relief efforts, three New Jersey natives will be hosting a charity concert on Wednesday January 2, 2013. The show deemed “On the Beach” will take place at the Paramount Theatre in Asbury Park, NJ and will feature many indie rock/folk acts including My Morning Jacket, River City Extension, Joseph Arthur, Nicole Atkins, The Tangiers Blues and special guests. The event will be hosted by former MTV VJ, radio personality and Jersey native, Matt Pinfield. Recently added to the show was Gaslight Anthem frontman Brian Fallon and rocker Steve Earle.

According to the concert’s Facebook page, funds from the charity event will go to multiple local non-profit organizations including Waves for Water, Rebuild Recover, Coastal Habitat for Humanity, the Food Bank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties, and Food for Thought by the Sea.

Tickets are now on sale and can be purchased from Ticketmaster the Stone Pony Box Office. You can contact them at 800.745.3000.

All of us at Pop-Break.com are looking forward to this great show for a great cause. The storm’s damage has hit pretty close to home for a lot of us and we encourage everyone to check out the show and to support the Restore the Shore projects going on in the state. For more up-to-date information about the show, check out the event’s Facebook page.
